I produce original paintings which are inspired by the vast open landscapes of Caithness with its ever changing dramatic skies. I enjoy painting landscapes that I have an emotional connection with, and that I find thought-provoking - the long, windswept sandy beaches, the rugged cliff top coastlines, the vast expanse of blanket bog of the Flow Country, the panoramic Caithness hills, and the wide open, desolate landscapes with old uninhabited buildings that tell a story of a time and place. I gather most of my inspiration by exploring the landscapes of Caithness in all weathers with my horse Fudge!
